Privacy Policy for the Aristotel Mobile Application

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains what personal and technical data the Aristotel mobile application (“App”) collects, how and for what purposes it is used, where and how it is stored, and what rights users and their legal representatives (parents/guardians) have.
The App is designed for students (minors) aged 6–18 and intended for shared use with parents. Use by minors is allowed only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Data We Collect3.1 Technical Data (collected automatically)
- Device information: model, OS version, interface language, screen resolution (no advertising identifiers);
- Session timestamps and in-app events (anonymous usage data);
- Error reports and crash logs used for diagnostics and bug fixing.
3.2 Data Provided by Parent/User
- Email address of the parent/guardian;
- Phone number of the parent/guardian;
- Student profile (student’s name, class/grade — optional, provided by parent).
3.3 We DO NOT Collect
- Photos, audio, or video recordings of students (unless explicitly consented to by the parent);
- Advertising identifiers (Advertising ID / AAID / IDFA). If such identifiers exist, they are disabled for child profiling.
3.4 Multimedia Clarification
The current version of the App does not use photo/video upload functions. If such functionality is introduced in the future, parents will be notified and separate consent will be requested.
4. Monitoring and Analytics Tools
We use Firebase (Google LLC) for analytics and monitoring, including Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics, to:
- Analyze app stability and fix errors;
- Understand which features are most used to improve the educational experience;
- Ensure secure authorization and access recovery.
Firebase is configured to minimize personal data collection and disable personalized advertising for users under 18. Data are anonymized, aggregated, and used solely for internal analysis and product improvement.

- Maintaining service functionality and fixing errors;
- Usage analytics and UX improvement;
- Security and abuse prevention;
- Legal compliance.
6. Legal Basis
Processing of minors’ data is based on the consent of a parent/legal guardian. We also rely on legitimate interest (service delivery and authorization) and legal obligations.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell or share children’s personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data may be shared only when necessary for:
- Hosting and infrastructure services (Google Cloud / Firebase);
- Legal compliance upon lawful government requests.
All third-party providers must ensure adequate protection and may not use data for child marketing.
8. Data Storage and Retention
Location: Cloud-hosted virtual machines and databases (Google Cloud via Firebase).
Retention: Up to 12 months after last account activity, after which data are deleted or anonymized.
Requests for deletion are handled per Section 9 below.
9. User and Parental Rights
- Access the student’s personal data;
- Request correction or deletion (“right to be forgotten”);
- Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing);
- Submit complaints to the data protection authority.
Requests should be sent to
support@aristotel.net. Usually processed within 30 calendar days.
10. Withdrawal of Consent and Account Deletion
Parents may delete a child’s account and related data via in-app settings or by sending a written request to
support@aristotel.net. Data are deleted/anonymized within 30 days, except where required by law.
11. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures (encryption, access control, audit logs). Although full security cannot be guaranteed, affected users and regulators will be notified in case of incidents.
12. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The App uses technical tools for session and setting storage. Server-side session and token management are used. Cookies may be used in the web version — see our website for details.
13. Policy Updates
We may update this Policy periodically. Updates will be published at
https://www.aristotel.net/privacy_en. The latest version date is indicated above.
14. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party services (e.g., Firebase, AppMetrica) that comply with GDPR and ensure data protection.
15. Additional Information
Deleting a student’s profile permanently removes all associated data from our servers. Recovery is not possible.
